Delete your Health Challenge account

You can delete your Health Challenge account, and everything in it, at any time. Deletion is permanent — there is no undo and no recovery period.

From inside the app

Open the app and sign in.
Go to the You tab, then Settings → Account.
Tap Delete my account.
Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account and its data are removed immediately.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Email support@healthchallenge.app from the address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm it is your account and delete it within 30 days, and reply when it is done. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, say so and we will tell you how to identify the account.

What is deleted

Your profile: name, email address, photo URL, time zone and weight-unit preference.
Your challenge memberships, including your starting weight.
Every daily log you entered.
Every weigh-in, including the weights themselves.
Your scores, your badges, and your streak.
Your direct message conversations, and the messages in them — for both people, because a one-to-one conversation cannot exist without both of them.
Your push-notification tokens and notification preferences.
Your sign-in credential.

What is not deleted, and why

A challenge you organize is cancelled, not deleted. It holds other participants' entries, which are theirs and not ours to destroy on your behalf. Those participants keep their own data and their own right to delete it. Announcements you posted to a challenge stay with the challenge for the same reason.
Moderation records are kept. If you reported someone, or someone reported you, that report and the related moderation log are retained so we can act on repeat abuse. They are not visible to other participants.
Crash reports and usage events already sent to Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics are not tied to your account after deletion and age out on Google's own retention schedule.

Get a copy first

Deletion cannot be undone, so if you want your data, export it before you delete: You → Settings → Account → Export my data returns everything the app holds about you, including your weights.
